Tis the Busy Season

Well, it is that BUSY time of year again.  Baseball practices have begun and the farm is starting to awaken.  My hubby and boys picked up our 2 little piggies from a friend and we have kitties due to be born soon.  It's funny how quiet life can be during the winter months but when Spring pops it's little head out, life takes a whirly-twirly turn!  I was writing in my "mom's" calendar all of these practices and school events and WOW, there is not 1 day that I will NOT be running here and there.  Life will not slow down for me until next winter returns but that is ok.  I like being outside when the weather is beautiful.  My son and I decided to ride with hubby to our other farms this afternoon to see all of the different stages of life for the cows and of course Seth and I would rather see all of the kitties.  Then, it began to snow on us.  Funny that it is the end of march and I believe it is leaving us with a ROAR!!!!  They say it comes in like a lion and leaves as a lamb but I think this year it is reversed!

SPRING

WELL, it is almost officially Spring here in Pennsylvania.  This past week the weather has been beautiful.  It has been 60* with sunny skies.  I like being able to go out onto our covered porch and sit on the swing with only a light sweatshirt on or just a t-shirt.  I look across the farm and see the geese that are flying back to our pond and I become excited to think that soon I will be able to daily be outside planting flowers and planting veggies in our garden.  I'm excited to have lots of space to plant the sort of things that I like.  We're even going to try growing strawberries this summer.  That would make a pretty picture!  I'll have to take a picture of my garden during the process and post it on a blog.  Anyway, enjoy this lovely weather.  Even if it does snow again, I know that soon enough we'll have sunny skies and lovely weather!

Finding my Nitch

Well, it is another chilly day in Pennsylvania.  I have made a cup of coffee and have been snuggled under a beautiful blanket that my sister-in-law has made for my husband and I.  She is very talented in crocheting.  I however, am NOT talented in this.  I made 1 scarf that turned out terrible and a few dish rags that were not much better.  I keep thinking that I will some day find that wonderful talent but I just can't seem to find my nitch.  I told my husband that maybe it is sewing and I asked for a simple sewing machine.  He sort-of giggled at me and I am still waiting for that sewing machine.  I just can't find what that "thing" is I am good at crafting.  I'm not talented in crafts or painting or writing.  I guess I'll just keep waiting until I find out what I am good at.  When I find out, I will let you know!  Until then, Happy Wednesday.
Oh, the picture above is the one and only scarf that I made for my little sister for Christmas a couple of years ago.
