THANKSGIVING

Well, it is Thanksgiving once again.  Thanksgiving is mine and Adam's favorite holiday.  We get to spend the day with family, whom we love and enjoy a bountiful feast, which seems to last all day.  This year I had the privilage of teaching a class at church for 2nd-6th grade.  So, I decided to do my lesson on Thanksgiving and I asked them what they were thankful for.  Their responses were " my girlfriend and family, the Army and Air Force, for God and everything He has given to me, food, etc..."
They were so honest and wonderful at answering.  So, I began to think... what am I most thankful for?  I have a stitched picture that says, "Give Thanks for Simple Blessings."  What are some simple blessings to me?  Of course I would say my husband, children, family, friends and church family.  Then, I started thinking of all of the blessings that God has given me like, being able to smile and laugh, a beautiful sunset, green grass, apples on trees, a summer rain or winter snow.  There are so many blessings that I don't think I could even begin to count them all.  "Count your blessings, count them one by one.  Count your blessings see what God has done."  Happy Thanksgiving.  Give thanks for the little blessings in your life too.
